New Projects & Patterns & Hats & Foot stool Coversrs

 I designed this lavender hat. It has a pillbox look with a gathered back and some bling on the side, I changed the bling a bit and added a bow behind it. I am going to use the fabric to make a "puff" insert so that it will sit higher on my head. :) I couldn't make up my mind which one to use so I am using one design on one side and the other on the flip side. :) I love the whimsical turtles...I will be writing up the pattern soon.

This foot stool turned out pretty cool I think. I made a granny square changing colors, added some black and white, and then a ruffle on each side, sewed on some black fringe, added several glass beads, fish and cats [Asian design] for the woeight to hold it down. I love the finished one it shows less of the foot stool under it than you see in the photos. I added a little felt and button on the side too.. that's my ""Blooming Flower Pillow" on the rocker. :)

 Some of my plant covers over chicken cans I got the idea from Attic24 and then I added a ladybug and some flowers and stitched some stems and grass.

Another "You Rock" Blog Feature

          This Month's Feature "You Rock" Blog 

"You Rock" blog posts are featured posts of recognition of "fantastic" blogs that I have visited and enjoyed reading. Some are about crochet; some are just plain funny; some are really interesting; and some are about the author's adventures.

I got the idea from "Simplfy" she had decided to post about other blogs she enjoyed visiting instead of issuing out Awards...and I thought how great of an idea this was!!! I mean I am always hopping all over to visit blogs and looking for cool new ones [does anyone say "cool" anymore????] and so I thought that this would be so nice to "spread the news" about blogs I have found to my followers. 

I think that there are tons of blogs out there that deserve recognition and more traffic. Many never get visited that often, because they are just not known by us bloggers. I hope by featuring "You Rock" blog posts it will promote more "online" friends to connect with; and for you to learn and visit with some very interesting and talented bloggers.

  This month's blog feature I am going to share with you is "Attic24." 

Attic24 [Lucy] lives north of England and lives in a 100 year old Victorian home that she is renovating. Her blog features her decorating, crocheting, baking, sewing, crafting and gardening ideas. And is mainly a blog about her crochet adventures. 

 Sometimes she uses some recycled objects to create lovely and fun ideas for decorating your home. I have made several of her designs and I like that she provides you easy to understand directions with lots of pictures! 

 If you have been following my blog you will see that is where I got the lovely "Blooming Flower Pillow" pattern I made this past month along with the cute "tuna can" plant holders. 

 She is very talented and uses a lots of color in her designs. This snake is adorable!

Blooming Pillow Progress & Tea Shawl & More

 Here is my shawl that I made awhile ago. It was suppose to be a pocket shawl, but I decided to add these cool "tea" buttons and make it my tea shawl.. :)

I found this cute little Lady Bug planter at WalMart the other day...

 A time ago I made this book cover in crochet thread. I added my initials and then a little book mark. But it was too big for paperbacks and not big enough for other books, so I added an elastic to the inside flap and Voila now it works on my paperbacks. :)

Last night I loved onto purple and red again!! It's coming out so pretty....

I have it laying next to my "Scrap-ghan" that I am also working on. I like working on more than one project at a time...lol
