Some New Swap Projects I Made

I am in crochetswapbuddies and was in a "small Ami" swap so I decided to make my partner a little mouse in pink. She came out so cute... And she sent me the cutest frog!!

I am also in a Yummy Recipe Swap and we had to make something to do with this month's theme of "Cooking Tips" I had fun and made 2 crockpot recipes for breakfast and then made a whole sheet of cooking tips. So I decided to crochet and stuff a little tea bag. I also beaded the words tea on the
smaller tea square. I stuck a flower on it and finished it off with a netted bag to hold it.

Isn't this tea set the cutest? I got this from DaBookLadys BABEs March "true story" book and bookmark swap, along with a "Marilyn Monroe" book to add to my collection of memorabilia of MM stuff....I also got a whole box of stitckers that I can always use when I mail my pen pal letters.

Speaking of which look at the cute things my Canadian pen pal, Sharon, sent me for my "B" day coming up here real soon!!! A key chain, pen, and a Cancada hat pin. And I got the patterns I ordered on Ebay, cute cute animals in crochet and she also included a fun plant hanger pattern and delicious recipe. If you enlarge this picture you will see all the animals I can make from the booklets.

Now this next photo is what I got from my Fat 1/4 Swap bot partner for the month of March. Vacation in Laughlin

Well hubby and me went to Laughlin for 4 days with our car club PCC...it was loads of fun and in the high 80s all the time. This is the view from our room...We got to take the River Taxi between casinos and also gambled a bit, I only won $50, but at least I didn't "bust" then we went to the car museum at the Riverside and also saw the watch man where I of course got a new watch.

I came home to 2 packages from swaps. :) one from All Around the House , 2 nice placemats, and the other from Crochetoholic's Swap... a whole box of goodies from Penny, Got lots of goodies, and then I received a really nice surprise from an almost swap partner at HSKS4 [ Ingrid Ze Insightful] what a sweetie..It is a Red Hats fat 1/4, she knew I was a Red Hatter.... thank you.. :)

New Projects I have Finisihed

Ok look at how warm it is here today!!! WOW......I cannot believe the weather change..but I love it...

I have been crocheting some of my WIP projects...here are a few of my finished projects that I have been working on. A frog tissue case in worsted weight yarn, a frog scrubber, a cookie[Orio] a coaster, tea bag holder, and 2 napkin rings for my dining room swap, and here is a sneek preview of my new creatures that I am designing, that will be for sale in my Etsy store and on my site. They are called Amigurumi which means “knitted or crocheted doll” in Japanese. They're the simplest of simple, usually worked in a round of single crochet. you can join your rounds or not join them that is your choice. Just work in a spiral. The thing that is the greatest about amigurumi is that it all depends on your imagination as to how the end result will turn out. And as you can see mine has turned into quite a creation. There's no rules no fancy stitches, so anyone can make them, and the fun comes in the shapes you make, the colors you decide on and what other glorious add ons you want to attach on to your creation. So take a look at "Bottlelands" 1st resident, the "Queenie Lady B" she is not completely finished, but as you can see she is coming along. If you enlarge the picture you will see her pretty eyelashes... :)
