Worlds Record, Crochet More, and Wrong Dates Cause Slow Craft Fair???

An online friend of mine...Chatty Crone...had this on her blog and I loved it so thoguht I would post it here too, to encourge more exercise around to my crochet and knitting friends....I mean you don't need to put down your hooks or needles, just WALK and think "I can do it...I can I can Ican...." and there before you know it the pounds will shed!!! LOL....

I had a craft show on Sat and I had a ton of fun and thought that it was a bit slower than usual and then I was browsing the paper this am and there was the ad for the craft show with the date for this weekend????****$$### OMG the got it wrong, they listed as this upcoming weekend the 11th not the 5th....no wonder it was slower... now I wonder who made that mistake???? I bet a lot of people planning to go this upcoming weekend will be disappointed... hmmmm.....
After my shock I thought maybe we needed to get back on track a little so I got out my magic ball and asked how I could do this and then it cam eto me to relax and Now everyone follow me...I want to crochet, I want to crochet....keep saying it till your hooks are in your hands and moving.... :)

I found this photo of over 400 women crocheting..WOW...that is amazing, what I was wondering though was whether they made over 400 items????
More than 400 baseball fans set a new Guinness World Record June 5th, 2010 for most people crocheting in the same place for 15 minutes at the Citi Field stadium.  "Ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, get your hooks ready!" cheered "Inside Edition" host and crafter Deborah Norville, who has her own line of yarn. She added: "Three, two, one, let's crochet!" Fans crocheted away before the Amazin's took on the Marlins as folks from Guinness observed.
Zac Monday(1985) is an MFA student at University of California in San Diego. He has some amazing artwork in crochet

Most crafters - 427 in all - worked on a project in Mets-appropriate orange or blue yarn, and soon crocheted their way into the Guinness World Records.

keep staring at this and repeat after me...buy more yarn, buy more yarn...

Love these colors

and who doesn't need more crochet on their bikes? I know I do!!!!

this is what I would look like on a bike...lol....

This is me animated!!!

Foxy and the Mail!

Projects for the Holidays Started and Hoping to Start

Well now to start all the holiday projects I want to make.
Hmmm that will probably not happen as I have so many
in my sights, but these are a few I have started already and
dreaming to start. :)  This one is a bunch of beaded necklaces
by crocheting around them from this pattern I actually am doing
it a little different for each one. I love the holiday yarns, but I got
this one last year and it is more of a sport weight whichI am having
a hard time finding in the stores.

This is a mobius cowl made with Red Hearts "Sparkle Holiday" yarn I love it. I got it at Joann's and this one is ecru with gold flecks. I have to make 44" so I need to measure it and then twist and sew together. This was a simple but very pretty stitch of large shells.

A close up of the stitch

I forgot all about this WIP but awhile ago I started this all beaded bag with a graph I made online of a rose, and I am just about finished so I am dragging it out and going to finally finish it. I had it with all my craft show items and so its been in storage. I love the color. :)

Here's a close up of the rose

Here's a close up of the corded strap I want to add

I finally found a head to go with this pattern. Sheesh....I couldn't find them anywhere and I only found 4 this one came first so I can now start on these cute lady's I want to get more so back to Ebay to see if they have anymore available.

This pattern is in my new Crochet World patten magazine and I love it, I need to get a couple
nighties for the g-kids so that I can make them. :)

I love this cowl and want to make it for my sister.

I ordered these patterns from this gal online and she has a whole slew of vintage ones. She is terrific check her out here....I love the watermellon ones as they match the watermellon bag that I started this summer.
