About Me

My blog is all about my love for crocheting, yarn, patterns and designing. So settle in; grab your cup of tea or java; and enjoy a relaxing ride of viewing informative, unique and colorful ideas and designs with Crochetoholic

I am a S.California gal originally from upstate New York, married, mom to two grown children, g-ma to 3 cuties, and raising 2 fur babies. I enjoy my time creating and like to spend my time with family and friends. I am lucky to have a very relaxing setting on my patio and yard with water running and birds singing to give me a terrific place to enjoy my stitching!

I first learned to crochet from my mom back when I was around 9 years old. I loved to sit with mom and watch her create. She was not only inspiring, but she was so talented. She would stitch gifts for the whole family. I still have many of her pieces today and I hope to hand them down to my children to continue the "family heirlooms" for generations to come.

My passion is color! I love bright and colorful projects. One of my favorite colors is pink! So you may see more of that color in my projects. I get a lot of my inspirations and ideas from photos in magazines, reading other blogs, and exploring nature. Its amazing what you will see if you open your eyes up to the world around you.

I have hence started to design my own projects and was inspired to do so by watching and talking to Carol Ventura and Mary Jane Hall both designers in the stitching world. I was honored to meet Carol Ventura at a past CGOA convention in Oakland and I was so impressed with her work. Mary Jane Hall and I had emailed each other right at the beginning of her book publishing days. She is amazing.  Please be sure to stop by both these gals websites and blogs!
