                                                                   Happy St Patrick's Day
John Dunham / Messenger-Inquirer via AP

at my LYC meeting last Thursday I had to show off my Blooming Pillow

a close up

I made a granny square flower pot cover

and another flower pot cover in white

with some beads

a blue ruffle too

for St Patrick's Day

I made a t-shirt flower pin, a short tutorial coming on PBDesigns

Attic24 inspired me to make her tin can covers for my plants

I used my colored tape to tape the edges

decided my African Violets would love their new cover

doesn't it look cute

then I decided to go a step further and cover my water bottles that
I use for my sprouting

so I added a butterfly button

a little pink ruffle around the top see the water inside

thought about using it for my flower pens???

and added a little red sparkle

it looks so cute

heres what it looks like with out a cover

all snazzed up on my window shelf

now I need to make one for this other one

my smaller one on the shelf with plant in it

The "Love" Program and More Crochet Projects

Blogger Love

JJCrochet Blogger Love Program

JJCrochet's Blog is a wonderful blog that started a "love" program to give a little "thank you love" to all of us yarn addicts! :)
She is dedicating it to us bloggers that love to post about our projects and share photos and crochet fun!
Go on over there and check her out. It is simple and you can earn a free crochet pattern that she sells just for making the pattern and then posting a photo of it!
Here’s how to participate.  It’s pretty simple, but essentially – if you have a crochet website or blog and talk about JJCrochet, you get a free pattern.  So hop on over there and give it a try...I did ....and I can't wait to start on my new crochet project!!!! Go HERE....

I decided to make the tote bag that is on the cover of Crochet Today Nov-Dec issue. I started it for my g-daughter but the holidays were too busy for me so I didn't finish. Then I decided to make it for me and change it to my own design, no surprise huh? I always change patterns to my own. LOL....so I made the granny squares and used a fluffy white and then added faux leather sides and bottom, and made the back solid with a stripe and now I am double stranding a strap and going to line it....So how do you like it so far??? I like the added trim around the front and it stand up by itself with the leather. :)

The front view

Thid is the back of the tote

the fancy "button" pin I added to the back

The side view I made it faux leather in blue

I have to add feet and then line it,
I am going to use it for a yarn tote

Snood Finger less Gloves and Turkeys

the turtle

the side view

on me

I tried to get it from the side

too funny check out my eyes I am trying to see it in the mirror to snap the shot

got hubby to snap it from the back
I decided to keep this snood for me and make another for my niece. I added a ribbon and a turtle pin I never wore from my jewelry box. I think it really enhances it.

I made several finger less gloves and cannot decide which embellishment to use??? The one button the rust colored one is a vintage button, the other is a kitty face, then I have the butterfly one, hmmm decisions. which one do you think looks best???

I like it on

they are warm too

the middle button is vintage

vintage button

another vintage button

too cute kitty

looks pretty on

with the bow

I made this turkey last  year.

I am making Christmas gifts daily, with not a lot of $$$$ this year most of my family & friends will get homemade items..I am picking out things to make just right for each person. The white and black yarn will be my next pair of gloves. This time in wool and fun fur yarn.
