During the last few years my stitching club has worked on several projects and projects together. Sometimes we worked on the projects together and sometimes we did our own and brought it for "Show n' Tell" for a little contest. I thought I would showcase some of our projects from 2007-2011,, This year we have not decided on what we will do but we will at our Spring Fling on the 29th....then the projects will be due again either Oct or Dec...

And our last project for 2011 Was our "Rainbow Skein" project. We got together in Feb 2011 and made our "Rainbow Skeins" then we each made a project and brought it to our Oct Halloween party finished and ready for a little contest.... here is mine...

Spring Projects!

I absolutly love this set! It is so spring!!! And the pattern to make it is free, I have already started mine... :)

Here's anothere one I started...it is the perfect garden hat!! What color do you like? I may make mine in this multi pink yarn I got on my last "Yarn Crawl" it is perfect for this little project!!! Here's the pattern...

I thought these cuffs for kids are adorable....I always see them for adults but have never seen them for kids...so this is my other project that I have started for my g-daughters... :) I know they will love them....

And lastly I love making "cool" projects and this one I am going to make but I have decided to change it a bit and use different inserts....the pattern is easy and fun!!

Spring Fling "Ugly Sweater" Party

We had our annual Spring Fling Party, and this year we added a theme, "The Ugly Sweater" it was so much fun!!! The gals were great and all put their thinking caps on and wore some type of gaudy sweater, half made sweater, and even one that was to be in the future.. LOL....  I hung up photos from last years party from the fan with yarn, we played games and Pat won the door prize of an "Ott" lamp, Donna won the "Guess how much Yarn is in the Pail" yummy....I won the yarn in the left, center, right game...wow...and Priscilla and Shanda were kind enough to bring a basket full of yarn and donated it to the winner of the yarn and I got it all!!!! I'm a happy camper...now to start making projects...I have been online looking for more patterns all day.. :)   Pat won the "Ugliest Sweater" and Donna won "The sweater to mever see the light of Day again" and Patricia won the "weirdest,or funniest" sweater having hung potholders all over her.. :) I decorated mine with tons of pins and buttons.....Shanda won the loot in one of our games....It was a grand evening and we all had a great time...chatting. knitting, and crocheting, and winning trophies, awards, and just munching away on the fantastic pot luck dishes...

I love our get togethers!!!! My yarn group is the best!!!!
