Easter is in the Air???

Spring is threatening to appear, but our rain keeps coming back. I know that most of the country is covered in snow and ice, but here in the south of CA it is cooler but just more wet than usual. I found this unusual idea of making fancy weiners on the web.. I thought it would be a great bar bee in the summer for a kids party...its really simple to make, just take some hard spagetti and then push it into the hot dog and then bioil it for about 5 minutes. that's it.... :)
Since it is almost Easter already...WOW....I thought a tip on making Easter eggs over at Family Fun Crafts would be fun to do...so after searching I found these cool eggs that are easy and made with yarn... my favorite project material... :) All you'll need is: Materials
  •  Thin cotton yarn
  •  Balloons
  •  Craft glue
  • Newspaper
  • Waxed paper
  • Clothespin
  • Clothes hanger
  • Total Time Needed: Weekend Projects Instructions
For each egg, cut twenty 3-foot-long strands of cotton yarn and blow up a balloon to a 6- to 8-inch diameter. Mix equal parts of glue and water in a shallow disposable container.
Cover your work area with newspaper and a sheet of waxed paper. Hold a strand of yarn by one end, dip it into the glue mixture, then wrap it around the balloon. Repeat with the other strands, randomly overlapping them and tucking in loose ends, until the balloon is evenly covered.
Using the clothespin, suspend the balloon from the clothes hanger and let it dry overnight. (Cover the area below it with newspaper to catch drips.) Once the egg is completely dry, carefully poke a hole in the balloon, then pull it away from the string as it deflates. Hang your finished egg with ribbon or yarn.

What is Your "true" Valentine?

I was looking through my Knitting Daily and got the idea to describe my "true" Valentine! I looked over Kathy's answers and added my own. Because I love bags and friends, #3 and #8 had to be the same... :)
So here is mine

1. It fills my life with dreams of my favorite colors of pinks and reds.

2. It joins me in my daily exercise routine.
3. It intoduces me to new friends who share my same interests in my craft.
4. It teaches me disipline and strength and encourages me to be better.
5. It goes with me no matter where I go and never complains.
6. It loves Sci-fi and Lifetime channels the same as I do.
7. It sets no time limits and allows me to do my craft into the "wee" hours.
8. It likes to change bags as much as I do!
9. It gets tangled, because it knows I love to do puzzles.
10. It never gets discouraged with my talent, even when I make mistakes.

My "true" Valentine is my crocheting!!!! :)

... go ahead and make up your own list of 10 "true" Valentine attributes, whether you are a knitter, crocheter, or crafter of any kind, put it on your blog and be sure to link back to Crochetoholic....have fun!!
