Summer's Over Time to Crochet!

Well Summer is over and lots of kids are getting ready to go back to school, and moms and dads are out shopping and spending$$$ on clothes and school items....I am lucky to have no little ones at home anymore, so I have been doing a little Christmas Crochet....

The garland was really easy and I followed a few patterns I got the web and then I ventured out and made a different one for my football necklace.

I used Crochet cotton #3 and Glitter cotton thread, I then sc inbetween each bead and did  a chain 4, 2nd row I did 6sc in the 4sc chain, sc in each sc, around, then switched to the glitter thread and did sc in each sc and 3 sc in each sc between. It gives it a twisted appeal.... :)
I made some beaded garland and then decided to make a football necklace for football Mondays.. :) I also made a few cozy trims for my cup holders.
Here's the pattern:
Cup Holder Cozy Trim:
Small amount of cotton yarn any color
size H hook
clear drying craft glue
8 pony beads to match color of cup holder
cup holder

Chain about 33 st, join with ss in beginning chain [make sure it will fit around your cup holder], Row 1: ch 1, sc in each chain around, ss to join in 1st sc, Row 2: ch 2, dc in 1st sc,3 dc in same st, [sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, sk 1 sc, 4 dc in next sc] repeat around, join in 1st sc, pull yarn through, cut yarn leaving about 5-6" length, string on 4 beads alternating colors, string four beads onto beginning end of yarn, tie together and trim leaving about 2"
Push the ring onto your cup holder and squeeze a small line of glue around cup holder just where you want it to lay and then push ring over glue. Be sure you are using clear drying glue. Dry 24hrs before using.
Thats it your done! Make several in different colors to go on your cup holders and give them for presents or favors at a party or meeting.
