Crocheting in March for National Crafting Month? Why do I Love it so Much?

Crocheting and why I Love it????
I had to think about this one a bit. I mean I know I love to crochet, but to explain why????

Hmmmm I guess mostly I like to feel the yarn and then to create something pretty with it. I see a pattern that I absolutely have to have and then I start shopping for yarn to make to make it with. Now the shopping part is the best.
Who doesn't love to go to yarn shops and touch and feel all those beautiful yarns. And what about all the new colors and series of yarns that are coming out for the spring? Have any of you been to your local yarn shops yet? Oh my, there are a lot of new yarns out... I love love Bernat yarn.. It just feels good when I crochet. I also like the new Simply Soft Light yarn 3-ply that is out. The colors are brilliant and it is twisted so not as difficult to crochet with as the 4ply can be.

What about crocheting with t-shirt yarn? That is fun too...The end result is a really sturdy project.

But I love to crochet because it allows me to relax while I watch my favorite TV show.  I feel like I am accomplishing more and therefore can justify my TV watching.... LOL....

Crochet gets my mind off any of my days stress and lets me float into my pattern. Chloee my little dog loves when I crochet so she can curl up on my lap, her favorite place to be. :)

So I guess the thing is its my favorite hobby to do...crochet crochet crochet is
a wonderful hobby it will always make you new friends. Go anywhere and sit down and within an hour I can guarantee that someone come up to you to ask you what you're making or ohh and ahhh over the yarn. Most people are fascinated with the art and love to see someone doing it.. a great way to pass the craft onto another too....

You will have a long conversation with many when you crochet in publics. And since this is National crafting Month go for it and enjoy meeting others who love the craft as much as we do.... After all its spring time and even if its cold where you are, go sit in a mall or a restaurant and it will work the same way.

Happy Crocheting......

Make Some Home Made Chicken Soup and Crochet

Homemade Chicken Soup Recipe
[source]
With all the colds and lazy times curling up in front of the fireplace, its best to curl up with not only your hooks but also some HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP. watch how to make one of my favorite recipes from

Original recipe makes 10 servings

  1. Put the chicken, carrots, celery and onion in a large soup pot and cover with cold water. Heat and simmer, uncovered, until the chicken meat falls off of the bones (skim off foam every so often).
  2. Take everything out of the pot. Strain the broth. Pick the meat off of the bones and chop the carrots, celery and onion. Season the broth with salt, pepper and chicken bouillon to taste, if desired. Return the chicken, carrots, celery and onion to the pot, stir together, and serve.
Now what should we make after we eat our soup????  I LOVE this afghan with sleeves.....so this is my next project and its FREE tooo....

Now to decide what color???? Hmmmm
